In the fourth quarter of 2023, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Greece saw varied performance across the top five iOS applications. Here’s a detailed look at the trends in downloads and weekly active users for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a notable increase in downloads, starting at 1.8K in early October and peaking at approximately 3.9K in the week of December 4. Weekly active users also showed a steady rise, growing from around 86K at the end of September to about 105K by the end of December.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 881 in the last week of September and climbing to roughly 1.8K by the end of December. Similarly, weekly active users increased from approximately 3.5K to over 5.3K during the same period.

Careem – rides, food & more had a more modest performance in terms of downloads, which fluctuated around the 100 mark for most of the quarter but saw a slight increase to 125 in the final week of December. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 138 and ending the quarter at 178.

Lyft showed a consistent but modest download trend, starting at 63 in late September and reaching 128 by the end of December. Weekly active users saw a slight increase, beginning at 1.8K and growing to about 2.3K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had lower download numbers compared to its passenger counterpart, starting at 84 in the last week of September and ending at 67 by the end of December. Weekly active users showed fluctuations but remained around the 500-600 range throughout the quarter.
